Design of a coated thinly clad chalcogenide long-period fiber grating refractive index sensor based on dual-peak resonance near the phase matching turning point

A novel method for designing chalcogenide long-period fiber grating (LPFG) sensors based on the dual-peak resonance effect of the LPFG near the phase matching turning point (PMTP) is presented. Refractive index sensing in a high-refractive-index chalcogenide fiber is achieved with a coated thinly clad film. The dual-peak resonant characteristics near the PMTP and the refractive index sensing properties of the LPFG are analyzed first by the phase-matching condition of the LPFG. The effects of film parameters and cladding radius on the sensitivity of refractive index sensing are further discussed. The sensor is optimized by selecting the appropriate film parameters and cladding radius. Simulation results show that the ambient refractive index sensitivity of a dual-peak coated thinly clad chalcogenide LPFG at the PMTP can be 2400 nm/RIU, which is significantly higher than that of non-optimized gratings. It has great application potential in the field of chemical sensing and biosensors.     

Synthesis of linseed oil based biodegradable homo and copolymers: role as multifunctional greener additives in lube oil

Abstract

Homopolymer of linseed oil and its four copolymers with styrene, 1-decene, isodecyl acrylate and octyl acrylate, respectively, have been synthesized in this present context. The prepared polymers are characterized by NMR and FTIR spectroscopy. The molecular weights have been measured by gel permeation chromatography. Their effectiveness as pour point depressant (PPD), viscosity index improver (VII) and their shear stability in terms of permanent shear stability index have been evaluated in lube oil. The copolymers acted as better PPDs than the homopolymer whereas the homopolymer of linseed oil excelled as VII. Further it was observed that all the prepared polymers were stable enough under severe mechanical shear.     

Polymorphism of a widely used building block for halogen‐bonded assemblies: 1,3,5‐trifluoro‐2,4,6‐triiodobenzene

After reporting the structure of a new polymorph of 1,3,5‐trifluoro‐2,4,6‐triiodobenzene (denoted BzF3I3 ), C₆F₃I₃, (I), which crystallized in the space group P 2₁/c , we perform a comparative analysis with the already reported P 2₁/n polymorph, (II) [Reddy et al. (2006). Chem. Eur. J. 12 , 2222–2234]. In polymorph (II), type‐II I…I halogen bonds and I…π interactions connect molecules in such a way that a three‐dimensional structure is formed; however, the way in which molecules are connected in polymorph (I), through type‐II I…I halogen bonds and π–π interactions, gives rise to an exfoldable lamellar structure, which looks less tightly bound than that of (II). In agreement with this structural observation, both the melting point and the melting enthalpy of (I) are lower than those of (II).     

基于拓扑指数对含氧有机化合物闪点的定量构效关系研究

闪点是衡量化合物易燃程度的物理量,也是可燃性液体的一个重要安全性指标。本文对含氧有机化合物(包括醇、酚、醚、醛、酮、羧酸、酯等)的闪点与分子结构之间的关系进行分析,提取并计算了顶点度-距离指数(VDI)、奇偶指数(OEI)、边度-距离指数(EDI)、分子体积参数(MVI)和氢键指示变量(HB)等分子结构参数,并结合分子隐氢图顶点数(N)的2/3次方(N~(2/3)),对训练集中81个含氧有机化合物的闪点进行定量结构-性质相关分析。结果表明,由N~(2/3)、VDI、EDI、OEI、MVI和HB等6个参数对闪点建立的多元线性回归模型的相关系数(R)为0.9909,标准偏差(s)为6.39K,平均相对误差(ARD)为1.60%。用该模型对测试集中20个含氧有机化合物的闪点进行了预测,ARD为1.84%。     

Error and stability analysis of numerical solution for the time fractional nonlinear Schrödinger equation on scattered data of general‐shaped domains

In present work, a kind of spectral meshless radial point interpolation (SMRPI) technique is applied to the time fractional nonlinear Schrödinger equation in regular and irregular domains. The applied approach is based on erudite combination of meshless methods and spectral collocation techniques. The point interpolation method with the help of radial basis functions is used to construct shape functions which play as basis functions in the frame of SMRPI. It is proved the scheme is unconditionally stable with respect to the time variable in and also convergent by the order of convergence , . In the current work, the thin plate spline are used as the basis functions and to eliminate the nonlinearity, a simple predictor‐corrector (P‐C) scheme is performed. It is shown that the SMRPI solution, as a complex function, is suitable one for the time fractional nonlinear Schrödinger equation. The results of numerical experiments are compared to analytical solutions to confirm the reliable treatment of these stable solutions. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 分布式通信响应优化问题及其内点法求解

为了优化移动互联网的分布式通信系统的响应速度,建立分布式通信系统响应速度最优化问题的数学模型,并设计和改进求解该最优化问题的内点法.针对该最优化问题发展一套高效率预条件方法来帮助求解内点法,不但改善计算方法的数值稳定性,而且提高算法的计算效率.通过数值实验验证该预条件对算法稳定性和效率的提高.     

椭圆PDE-约束优化问题的一个预条件子

针对由Galerkin有限元离散椭圆PDE-约束优化问题产生的具有特殊结构的3×3块线性鞍点系统,提出了一个预条件子并给出了预处理矩阵特征值及特征向量的具体表达形式.数值结果表明了该预条件子能够有效地加速Krylov子空间方法的收敛速率,同时也验证了理论结果.

本文研究了一类1 < α < 2非局部条件下的脉冲分数阶偏微分方程mild解的存在性问题.利用解算子的相关性质及Krasnoselskii不动点理论的方法,获得了这类方程的mild解并予以证明,且得到了解的存在性结果.     

Bolzano's Theorems for Holomorphic Mappings

The existence of a zero for a holomorphic functions on a ball or on a rectangle under some sign conditions on the boundary generalizing Bolzano's ones for real functions on an interval is deduced in a very simple way from Cauchy's theorem for holomorphic functions.A more complicated proof,using Cauchy's argument principle,provides uniqueness of the zero,when the sign conditions on the boundary are strict.Applications are given to corresponding Brouwer fixed point theorems for holomorphic functions.Extensions to holomorphic mappings from Cn to Cn are obtained using Brouwer degree.
